I choose Bluehost for 10 major reasons which I have shared in my Bluehost Review article.
Also, during my blogging mentorship, I have guided 50+ blogging beginners from all over the world to successfully purchase Bluehost hosting and domain name.
So, let’s dive into steps to purchase Bluehost hosting for your dream website or blog.
Step 1: Visit Bluehost
Bluehost.com is limited to two payment methods that involves credit and PayPal.
Therefore, a lot of Indian users expressed their inability to use Bluehost due to payment option limitations. So, Bluehost.in was set up!
Both of them have the same interface, design, and rates are almost the same. Bluehost.in users can choose US-based servers, otherwise Indian servers.
On visiting to the Bluehost website click on “Start Building or Get Started” Button.
Chose the Basic Plan of Shared Hosting, as it is the best choice for blogging beginners or for basics business website.
Upgrade as you grow!
After choosing the hosting plan, you will get a panel as shown below to check the availability of your Domain Name.
Write the domain name you want to purchase.
Remember the 4 points while writing the domain name;
No space
No capital alphabets
Choose extension from the drop-down
You can use numbers. For example, 1millionblogs.com
If your domain name is available, you will see something like this (shown below) with a form.
Step 2: Fill in the Form & Pay Amount
After you click “Next” in step 1, you will land on a website page with a Bluehost form:
2.1. Account Information:
Enter all details such as your First name, Last name, Business name (optional), Country, Street Address, City, State, ZIP code, Phone number, Email Address.
Note: Double check email address & phone number
2.2. Package Information:
In the Account Plan option, you get to choose the duration (12 months, 24 and 36-month package). Rates are written below it.
The primary domain name (plus its registration) and the SSL comes free along with it.
2.3. Package Extras:
Few extra services from the Bluehost are made available to ensure that hosting works risk-free and secure.
Domain Privacy Protection helps to keep your personal details (phone number and email) attached to this domain name hidden from scammers. Tick this to choose.
Codeguard Basic helps you by keeping a regular backup of your website. Useful feature, tick to choose it. (as a beginner you can untick, purchase it anytime later as your website grows)
Bluehost SEO tools provide SEO-related features to help in ranking. Useful feature, but there are other free tools like SEO Yoast and RankMath that we can use as long as we are in the beginning phase.
Talking about the SSL; the free SSL certificate that you get along with the Bluehost Hosting is a shared SSL certificate. So, Bluehost provides you with Single Domain SSL that will work only for your domain. However, it’s not necessary for a blogging website. A free SSL certificate is fine as long as you don’t have any payment option on your website.
Other services such as SiteLock Security help to protect from Malware and hackers. Good for the website but you can ignore (untick) if it’s out of your budget.
Recommended: Tick domain privacy + protection and untick all others
2.4. Payment Information:
For Bluehost.com, use credit card or PayPal for payment.
In case you are using Bluehost India, you can choose PayU, and submit. After that you will see the following options as shown below:

Q1. Which is the Best Hosting for Blogging website?
Bluehost is the best hosting option for a blogging website. The steps to buying a Bluehost hosting are easy, and its UI/UX is amazingly simple. Another option you can try is Hostgator. However, I don’t recommend GoDaddy hosting as their customer support and technicality are very poor.
Q2. What is the difference between Bluehost.com and Blueost.in
Bluehost.com is USA-based company that offers hosting and other internet services. Since it only accepts credit cards and PayPal, therefore many Indian users were finding it difficult to use it.
Hence, Bluehost India was set up with several payment options like PhonePay, GooglePay, UPI, EMI, Wallet, Debit card, etc.
These two have separate organizational teams that manage them. The support team is different. However quality of service and platform interface are same.
